Happy Summer and More Blog Candy!

Hey- Karen here and today I am sharing two cards I made with some fun summer time stamps that are available from Crackerbox Palace.  You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog.  The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week’s blog candy are below.

But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on one of the silhouette cards is………………#10 Donna Mundinger! Here is her winning comment:  Love the silhouettes and what you've done with them. My fave is Sea Breeze but the male image is fab too. xxD

Donna, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want, so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by posting a card you made with the stamps you won to your blog or Splitcoast Stampers gallery and sending us a link.

I made two cards to share today- one that looks like the 4th of July and one featuring a summer time picnic. I l just love the Fireworks stamp and sentiment on the card above. It could be used for any celebration including the holiday next week. I started with a square blue card and layered with a red piece with a stars border (Martha Stewart).  I added four yellow patterned squares with the fireworks stamp and the sentiment stamped in an oval cut with a Nestabilities die. I did a little doodling to complete the card.

My second card is a scene declaring “Life’s a Picnic!” I used a plaid border punch (ek success) to look like a red plaid tablecloth. The ants are carrying off a picnic basket and piece of watermelon (both paper pieced and colored) to have their own picnic. Guess they deserve to have one tooJ

So would you like to win the fun stamps featured on one of today’s cards? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

1.) We have decided that becoming a follower on both blogs is going to be something we would prefer you do but not a requirement.  My blog is here and the Crackerbox Palace blog is here.

Mr. Random will pick a winner from the comments and he or she will win the featured stamp(s). You must send me (khasheck@gmail.com) or Crackerbox Palace (crackerbox@crackerboxstamps.com)  an email with your home address so the stamps can be mailed to you.  And if you post a card to your blog or to Splitcoast Stampers with the stamps you won and send a link to Crackerbox Palace, you will win another Crackerbox Palace stamp of your choice!!

Silhouette Cards for the Guys and the Gals!

Hey- Karen here and today I am sharing two cards I made with some beautiful silhouette and sentiment stamps that are available from Crackerbox Palace.  You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog.  The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week’s blog candy are below.

But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on the fairy dust card here is……………… Karen S!! Karen, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by posting a card you made with the stamps you won to your blog or Splitcoast Stampers gallery and sending us a link.

I made two cards to share today- one for the guys and one for the girls. Both are CAS (clean and simple) cards featuring a beautiful silhouette and sentiment stamp. (I promised I would share something else besides humorous cards, even if the funny ones are my favorite.) On the first card above I simply stamped the Riding Away silhouette stamp and Live Out Loud sentiment on patterned paper and layered it on a black card. The Riding Away stamp is available here.

My card for the girls was equally simple to make. I stamped the Sea Breeze silhouette in grey on a white piece and embossed the sides with a Sizzix embossing folder. I stamped the lovely sentiment and cut just the edge with a Martha Stewart branch punch, and layered it on a black piece.  The Sea Breeze silhouette stamp is available here on the CBP website.

So would you like to win the beautiful stamps featured on one of today’s cards? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

1.) We have decided that becoming a follower on both blogs is going to be something we would prefer you do but not a requirement.  My blog is here and the Crackerbox Palace blog is here.

Blog Candy Thursday Happy Dust Card

Hey- Karen here and today I am sharing a fun card I made with Crackerbox Palace’s Woman Fairy Flora and the lol sentiment that surely would put a smile on anyone’s face! You can win these stamps (found here  and here on the website) by leaving a comment at either blog and becoming a follower on both blogs. The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week’s blog candy are below.

But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on the shell card is……………… Linda Lapotka!! Linda, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by blogging a card made with the stamps you won!

I love love love this Woman Fairy Flora and her Happy Dust saying. I stamped the sentiment on pink cardstock and again on yellow, so highlighting the Happy Dust with the different color. I stamped the fairy on white, paper pieced her dress and colored the rest with copics and gel pens. The background was created with a Sizzix embossing folder and silver stickles to  look like fairy dust. I attached the fairy with an adhesive spring so she wiggles and wobbles when you touch her.

I also love the quality of Crackerbox Palace stamps. You can get them in rubber only, wood mounted or my favorite – on high quality cling foam mount.  The stamps are on deeply etched rubber and on the cling foam mount they are also “indexed” or stamped on the cling foam so you can see exactly what you are stamping. I shop for stamps all the time and can honestly tell you, the quality of these stamps is first rate. Check out the great variety of stamps at the website.  I promise in upcoming weeks to feature some cards that are not just humorous- you can find anything at the CrackerboxPalace store here.

So would you like to win the fun stamps featured on today’s card? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

On The Way Train

This card I made for my husband for Father's Day.
I used  Crackerbox Palace stamps, I stamped it with VersaFine black ink.
The train and background card stock is cut out from Spellbinder.
I used Duster Brushes and Memento
brown ink to dust around the train.
I took the black Copic marker and colored around the
edge of the background card stock.
There are silver stickers on the edges but they are kind of hard to see.

New Thursday Feature and Blog Candy!!

Hey- Karen here and today I am starting a fun new feature on both this blog and my blog here.  Every Thursday I am going to post a new card that I have designed using awesome stamps from the Crackerbox Palace store AND offer blog candy for our readers!  You can win all the Crackerbox Palace stamps featured on the card I blogged! All you need to do to have a chance to win is:

1.) Be or become a FOLLOWER on BOTH blogs.

2.) Leave a comment on either my blog or the Crackerbox Palace blog on the Thursday blogpost featuring CBP stamps.  The deadline to leave a comment will be the following Wednesday at Noon CST. I absolutely love to use humor in my cards and that is what first drew me to Crackerbox Palace stamps. Today I am sharing a fun card that asks “How the Shell are you?”  The question makes me giggle and I paired it with some fun shells to make this card. The shells were stamped on a rust paper and cut out. I layered on squares of various colors and highlighted all with a gold gel pen. The center sentiment piece was raised with mounting tape for some added dimension.

The Shell question stamp as well as shells to pair with it are available here in the Crackerbox Palace store website. Remember to leave a comment and become a follower for a chance at winning these fun stamps.

Dad's Sail Boat

Currie Churchill made this card. It could be used for a birthday card or a Father's Day card.
It is a card that I think any guy would like to get.
The stamps she used were Crackerbox Palace stamps, Distress Inks and Tim Holtz paper scraper around the edges to rough them up. She also used brads for the top of the sails.
Here is another fun card from Karen Hasheck!
It may be a little early for Halloween, but never to early to create a smile and that is what Karen did.
The question and answer is all on one stamp and Karen stamped it and cut out the question and then stamped the saying on the inside flap under the BooBug.

Here is her blog if you would like to take a look at some of her other great cards.
Thanks Karen.

Here is another card that Karen Hasheck made for a guys card.

This is what Karen wrote on how she made the card:
"Just for Him" is the challenge at Lollipop Crafts this week and at Creative Card Crew they want us to use our sentiment as the focal point. I had fun with some new stamps I got from Crackerbox Palace at a stamp show I went to recently. The sentiment cracked me up so of course I had to buy it:) I started with a simple sketch and some fun dp that I punched with an ek success border punch and rounded the corners. I stamped the sentiment, doodled around the edge after rounding those corners too. The fun fish is also from Crackerbox Palace and I stamped him on dp and again on orange. I paper pieced the sunglasses and cut out the fish. I added dimension to the fish by rounding him and attached him with two dimension dots.

Stamping smiles, Karen
