My first card above started with a background created using the pillow top technique that I learned here from Gina K. It is so easy and I just love the look. Then I just added an awesome cowboy silhouette and a happy birthday banner to make a great guy’s card.

My second card also features a Crackerbox Palace cowboy silhouette stamp. Did I mention I love silhouette stamps? And CAS cards? I started with a masculine dp background, then added the barb wire border, the cowboy silhouette and sentiment for an easy but fun card for a special guy.

Black Hat Society

With this heat I am ready for some cool weather, so I pulled out my Halloween stamps.
The background paper is the scraps I found and thought I should use them.
I cut out the orange mat and white paper for the image with Spellbinders. Before I took apart the image off of the die cut, I outlined it with Spica Marker.
I used a bottle cap for one of my embellishements. I add a clear bubble over the image in the bottle cap,

The spider here and the white skull in the lower right corner are buttons.
I put a gem on her hat and black Spica Marker for her hair. Stickles was added on her dress.

Here is the card again, the spider is in the corner.

Blog Candy Thank Your Card for 8-16-12

Congrats Hilde on winning the stamps from our Blog Candy!
Your stamps are on their way.
On this card I stamped the image on X-Press card stock and colored it with Copic markers, then added red Stickles. I cut out the image with Spellbinders and while the die was still on the card stock, I out lined the die cut with the Black Glitter pen from Copic. I cut out a blue card stock and rounded the corners with Martha Stewart large corner punch.
The Thank You is also a Spellbinder that I cut out in while and also red card stock. I just cut out the circle where it was embossed around the outer edge and glued it on the red one.
I also cut out the green background with Spellbinder, put the red die cut on it and added pearls.
I put the ribbon around the opposite corners and added a bow.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out our Blog Candy next week, I am sure that Karen has some more great cards to share!

Hi Stampers, I want to share a beautiful card that Sarah made from one of the stamps she won from our blog.
Sarah stopped by Crackerbox blog, and Karen's blog and left a message to win this stamp. Since she has used the stamp she won, she gets another FREE STAMP of her choice.
Hop on over to her blog, Aunt Bee's Pickles  to see how she made this card and her other beautiful card. Her cards are so wonderful. She had good ideas for layouts and color combinations.

For the Ladies and More Blog Candy!

Hey- Karen here and today I am sharing some cards I made featuring two different styles of ladies stamps that are available from Crackerbox Palace. You can win your choice of the stamps featured on ONE of these cards by leaving a comment on either blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week's blog candy are below.

But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on one of the cards last Thursday is …………………………………………..Hilde!! Here is her winning comment:  “Oh Karen, these are lovely, I really like the technique you used and the colour choices are perfect. You are an amazing Card Artist, there is no other word for it. Not sure which card I like better, am in love with the rose image. Just gorgeous. Blessings Hilde
Hilde, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want, so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by posting a card you made with the stamps you won to your blog or Splitcoast Stampers gallery and sending us a link.
My first card above just cracks me up and I hope it will the recipient as well. One of the reasons I was so drawn to Crackerbox Palace stamps thd first time I found them was their awesome line of funny funny stamps. Clara and the sentiment are just perfect for a card for someone we want to tease about their age. I am pretty magnificent myself:) I stamped Clara, paper pieced her suit and cap, colored a little and cut her out. I stamped the sentiment and cut out the circle with a nesties die. I embossed the white card with a numbers folder from Cuttlebug and attached the circle and Clara with pop dots to raise. The 4 shades of pleated ribbon are from Stampin’ Up.

My second card features a very different style of stamp for the ladies. The Woman’s Back is very elegant and so I tried to make the card elegant as well. I started with a very subtle designer paper and stamped the Woman’s Back in the middle. I cut the dp into pieces and sponged it with different shades of ink. I put it back together, stamped the Joy sentiment and layered onto a black card. I added some butterflies, pearls and baker’s twine to complete the card.

So would you like to win the fun stamps featured on one of today’s cards? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

1.) We have decided that becoming a follower on both blogs is going to be something we would prefer you do but not a requirement.  My blog is here and the Crackerbox Palace blog is here.

Thank You card for 8-9-12 Blog Candy

Thank you Sarah for visiting Karen's blog and Crackerbox's blog.
Your thank you card and stamps were mailed Friday.
Your 20% off coupon is in your card. The 20% off coupon is for an entire order.
Hope you enjoy your stamp.
The saying was used as one saying. As you noticed on Karen's card, she stamped it and cut it apart to use it for an inside and outside.
I kept the die on the cutout and sponged blue around it edge. I added pearls.
This card was made with one of our flowers, and I just realized Karen used it on her beautiful cards for this week. I colored them with Copic markers and the vines are cut and embossed with Spellbinder.

Flowers and Thank Yous and More Blog Candy!

Hey- Karen here and today I am sharing some cards I made featuring beautiful thank you and flower stamps that are available from Crackerbox Palace. You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week’s blog candy are below.

But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on one of the friends cards last Thursday is………………Sarah of Aunt Bee’s Pickles! Her winning comment on the Crackerbox Palace blog was: “Hi Karen and Crackerbox Palace! What adorable cards. Karen your cards are always so uplifting (hehe, with the bra stamp). I know dorky - but you know me! The second sentiment is beautiful and so true!! Great job and thanks for the opportunity to win. Hugs, Sarah”
Sarah, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want, so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by posting a card you made with the stamps you won to your blog or Splitcoast Stampers gallery and sending us a link.
My first card above features a combination of two techniques I learned via Pinterest. Have I told you I am totally addicted to Pinterest now in addition to my addictions to stamps, punches, die cuts, embossing folders, etc. etc.? I search every night for great new ideas and pin them to my boards here. The floating reinker technique tutorial can be found here and the layering technique tutorial is here. I layered the pieces of white cardstock, then stamped the flower stamp repeatedly with VersaMark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. Following the floating reinker technique, I sprayed with water and “painted” with a variety of bright Adirondack reinkers. After letting it dry completely, I layered on purple paper. I stamped the lovely flower in yellow ink, cut out and over stamped with the Thank You sentiment to complete the card.

My second card features a gorgeous rose stamp from Crackerbox Palace that I colored using the same floating reinker technique. I layered it on a white scalloped square cut out and embossed with a Nestabilities die. I added a simple Thank You to the corner of the green piece, then layered on a burgundy card.

So would you like to win the beautiful stamps featured on one of today’s cards? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

1.) We have decided that becoming a follower on both blogs is going to be something we would prefer you do but not a requirement.  My blog is here and the Crackerbox Palace blog is here.

Focus On Sentiments at Crackerbox Palace and More Blog Candy!

Hey- Karen here and today I am sharing two cards I made with some cards featuring sentiment stamps that are available from Crackerbox Palace.  You can win your choice of the stamps featured on the front of one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog.  The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week’s blog candy are below.

But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on one of the popcorn cards last Thursday is………………Joyce M! Here is her winning comment from Karen’s blog:  Hey, Karen. What a cute set of stamps. I love what you did with them. Super cute!!!
Joyce, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want, so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by posting a card you made with the stamps you won to your blog or Splitcoast Stampers gallery and sending us a link.

I decided to focus on sentiments this week. When I make a card I am always thinking- what is the card trying to communicate? Thank you, birthday wishes, sympathy? What am I trying to say? I guess that is why I am always drawn to stamp companies who have a great line of sentiment stamps and Crackerbox Palace has hundreds of perfect sentiment stamps. I also played around with two major fads on in bloggerville right now: chevrons and hexagons. I used a chevron embossing folder (from Stampin’ Up) on my first card and various shades of purple to make the background. I stamped the beautiful sentiment and cut it out with a die from Quik Cutz. I added a butterfly (Martha Stewart) and pearl to complete the CAS card.

My second card features another beautiful sentiment from CBP, hexagons cut out after embossing with an embossing folder from Craft Concepts, and another butterfly and pearl.

So would you like to win the fun stamps featured on the front of one of today’s cards? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

1.) We have decided that becoming a follower on both blogs is going to be something we would prefer you do but not a requirement.  My blog is here and the Crackerbox Palace blog is here.

2.)
