CAS Christmas Cards with Stamps You Can Win!

Hey Karen here and today I am sharing some CAS Christmas cards I made with stamps that are available from Crackerbox Palace. You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week’s blog candy are below.
But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on one of the cards last Thursday is                                                       NanaConnie!  Here is her winning comment from the Crackerbox Palace blog:  “WOW, what a fabulous color combo! Being far beyond 40, I love the sentiment. :-D
Connie, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want, so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by posting a card you made with the stamps you won to your blog or Splitcoast Stampers gallery and sending us a link.
My cards today are CAS (Clean and Simple) Christmas cards. It is time to start thinking of making enough holiday cards to send out to friends and family and these two cards show that CAS cards can be lovely for Christmas. The dove from Crackerbox Palace is one of my favorite stamps and I stamped it after masking and sponging an oval of Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I added the lovely friendship at Christmas sentiment and made a border with a ek success punch and some liquid pearls.

My second card features a perfect sentiment and a background made with the Holly Border stamp. I love the script on the Christmas Greetings stamp and framed it with a snowflake wreath from Memory Box. The Holly Border was stamped in Versamark and I added some gems to complete the CAS card.

So would you like to win the fun stamps featured on one of today’s cards? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

1.) We have decided that becoming a follower on both blogs is going to be something we would prefer you do but not a requirement.  My blog is here and the Crackerbox Palace blog is here.

2.) Leave a comment on either my blog or the Crackerbox Palace blog on the Thursday blogpost featuring CBP stamps.  If you leave a comment on BOTH blogs, you will be entered twice in the drawing.   The deadline to leave a comment will be the following Wednesday at Noon CST. Mr. Random will pick a winner from the comments and he or she will win the featured stamp(s). You must send me (khasheck@gmail.com) or Crackerbox Palace (crackerbox@crackerboxstamps.com)  an email with your home address so the stamps can be mailed to you. If we do not hear from you within two weeks after we announce your win, and we can’t reach you through a blog, your prize will be forfeited.  And if you post a card to your blog or to Splitcoast Stampers with the stamps you won and send a link to Crackerbox Palace, you will win another Crackerbox Palace stamp of your choice!!

Friendly Feet

'Just Because' card today. I really like the feet. We have it in a large size and this smaller size. It just makes me smile.
I did stamp, color and cut out the flower and put a pop dot behind it. The frames around the words are Spellbinders and then I put pearls on the ends.

Rubber Stamp Events Convention in Milwaukee

Hi blog friends!

I wanted to share with you what a great time we had last Sunday!
A bunch of us stampers jumped into the vans on Sunday and headed to Rubber Stamp Events convention in Milwaukee at the State Fair Grounds. It was a 2 day event but we went Sunday, since this girl had to work at her own rubber stamp store. From the very beginning it was wonderful. It was very easy to get to the Fair Grounds, to get parked and get into the event. It was only 5.00 to park, but all of us girls split it and it was well worth it knowing not anyone can drive through the parking lot. I felt my van was safer than in a hotel parking lot. The parking was such that we didn't have to walk very far to get to the door-another bonus.
And when we walked in the door...WOW!
Being a stamper and a vendor, I noticed how well it was layed out.
I loved that it so ROOMY! It made you feel more comfortable that you wouldn't be belly or butt bumping other stampers that are trying to look at stamps. I loved it!
Here take a look.
Look how much room there is to shop.
NOTE: I took these pictures only 10 before closing so I could show you how much room there was between the booths and in the isles for looking and ease of shopping.

All the vendor were very friendly and answered all of your questions. Here is Darlene from Stampland giving a demo with Marvy Inks and her stamps. She gave her cards to the stampers to take home. Thank you Darlene, they are beautiful.

They are so beautiful.

Here is Barbara from Stampa Barbara (Stamp A Mania)giving another demo. She was showing a brayer technique.

So many stamps, So many samples!
Here is the card I made at the Paper Cut's booth. They had a hugh booth with any kind of paper you needed or wanted. I did take a picture but it was blurry. Sorry Sarah.
Isn't this a cute card! This is the front folded up.
This is the card opened up.
Here it is flat. Cute.

But again, look at all of the room. It was just so comfortable.
Everyone had big shopping bags. Whoo hoo new fun stuff!
Oh yes, and there were other products.
If you were looking for it, it was probably here.

Head spinning with all of these stamps? Need a doctor?
Well, here is the The Stamp Doctor with some more stamps.
Just what the doctor ordered.

On the way out the door, I had to show again how much space. I have a problem with close spaces so this was important for me.
And yes, we had 'too much fun'.
Here is the booth for Too Much Fun, and their stamps are fun.
I hope to see you next year!
Another note: They served a good varity of food right there and a lot of places to sit.

Birthday Cards from Marla

Thank You Marla!
Marla won this stamp when she left a comment on our Thursday Blog Candy. Since she used her stamp, she gets to choose another stamp of her choice. Hopefully we will see another card from the stamp that she picks out. Stay Tuned!

This is what Marla writes about her cards:
These cards were made for special friends (extended family) celebrating their birthdays in August and September. I met these wonderful friends through Nana Vic's Digitals at CDAC. This year our Birthday Celebration Coordinator, Sharon, make us a beautiful cover and back to a fat page album. Then each of us make a fat page birthday card to be put into our album. An album we will treasure for years. I won and used this wonderful birthday sentiment on the back of these cards from Crackerbox Rubber Stamps. It is the perfect birthday sentiment and I will be using it many times in the future.

All paper used are from - DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack (No longer available)
Inside sentiment - TLC Creations (old freebie)
Sentiment on the back - Cracker Box Rubber Stamps

Hexagons and Sentiments and More Blog Candy

Hey Karen here and today I am sharing some cards I made with hexagons and sentiment stamps that are available from Crackerbox Palace. You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week’s blog candy are below.
But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on one of the cards last Thursday is                            Marla!  Here is her winning comment from my blog:  “Fabulous cards - Fabulous images - Love everything!!
Marla, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want, so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by posting a card you made with the stamps you won to your blog or Splitcoast Stampers gallery and sending us a link.
I have been inspired by the hexagon trend I have seen all around blogland and Pinterest, so when I finally got some hexagon dies, I had to play with them right away. But the best parts of these cards are the sentiments from Crackerbox Palace. Whenever I make a card, I always start with “What is the card trying to say?” I love sentiment stamps and Crackerbox Palace has so many that are just perfect for the right person. I have many friends and relatives who would appreciate the sentiment on my first card. I am a pretty “old fiddle” myself…I accented the great sentiment with some “fiddle” die cuts and hexagons which were also embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

My second card features a beautiful Thank You stamp and a sweet “Straight from my Heart” stamp. I continued the hexagons and CAS style on this card too.

So would you like to win the fun stamps featured on one of today’s cards? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

1.) We have decided that becoming a follower on both blogs is going to be something we would prefer you do but not a requirement.  My blog is here and the Crackerbox Palace blog is here.

2.) Thank You Lynn

Hi Stampers,
I have another great card idea for you. This idea comes from Lynn. She is one of our winners from the Blog Candy that was posted August 23rd by Karen. She made this card and she posted it on Sept. 24th on (her) Lynn's Blog.  Since she made a card and shared her idea, she will be getting a Thank You stamp of her choice.  I hope you stop by Lynn's Blog and take a look at the other beautiful cards she has made. Thank you Lynn for your wonderful card!
And I hope she heals fast from her eye surgery!

This is what Lynn wrote:

Back to Normal

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes....I'm doing much better now and almost back to "normal" - well, as normal as I can be anyway!

What better way to be my "normal" self than to hit you up with a Funny Friday again! I won this image through the blog at Crackerbox Palace Rubber Stamps and if you've never heard of them or checked them out, you really need to do that! They have so many wonderful images. You can also see fabulous ways these images are used on Karen's Kreative Kards.

This babe's name is Clara and isn't she just a doll! That bathing cap makes me smile every time I see it. CAS and a fun card to make.

And see those sunglasses........Quick story here: Jim went out on Tuesday after my surgery and got me a pair of sunglasses to wear outside - found them for ONE DOLLAR somewhere. Got home...... put them on thinking I looked so darling..... went out outside..... all is wonderful..... came back in and took them off..... and ALL the blue color from around the frames rubbed off around my eyes! Looked like a RACCOON!

Nothing fancy at all on the inside either but thought I'd show you the sentiment with it anyway (forgive it being a little blurry.....last week when I couldn't see anything, it looked pretty good! LOL!

Halloween Cards and Blog Candy Thursday!

Hey Karen here and today I am sharing some cards I made with Halloween stamps that are available from Crackerbox Palace. You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week’s blog candy are below.
But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on one of the cards last Thursday is                      Nana Connie!
Here is her winning comment from the Crackerbox Palace blog:  “I absolutely adore the cat peaking through the card! The fish is also delightful, but since cats are more my style, he's the one who really grabs me. Love both these fabulous cards!
Nana Connie, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want, so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by posting a card you made with the stamps you won to your blog or Splitcoast Stampers gallery and sending us a link.
My first card above features several of Crackerbox Palace’s fun Halloween scenery stamps. I especially love the tree and will use that again on a non-Halloween card. The candy corn with googly eyes was made out of a pennant die and was an idea I found on Pinterest here

My second card features a cute parade of Halloween Kids and a sentiment that just cracks me up. “Booo”gie Nights- don’t you just want to stand up and dance and sing? The front center piece (just two inches wide) opens to the inside which is Halloween pumpkin designer paper.

So would you like to win the fun stamps featured on one of today’s cards? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

1.) We have decided that becoming a follower on both blogs is going to be something we would prefer you do but not a requirement.  My blog is here and the Crackerbox Palace blog is here.

Trick or Treat Angel

I love Halloween, I think it is my favorite Holiday. Dress up and eat candy, how could it get any better. The spider web in the upper left corner, and the rest of the stamps are from Crackerbox Palace stamps. I colored the angel with Copic markers and also used them to line the saying.
The bag is a small brown bag I bought and just sponged black ink around the edges. In a pack of paper, I found some candy punch outs that I used to keep the card flat. I would of liked to have had real candy!  The bottle top is one that came in a package I punched out with my 1" punch and put a clear dot over top.

8-30-12 Blog Candy Thank You

Congrats Marilyn!
Thank you so much for visiting Karen's Blog and Crackerbox Blog.
I am sure your dad will just love the card you are going to make for him. I hope you will enjoy the stamps.
Didn't Karen do a great job with her card? I did add a  couple of stamps for another idea.
I sponged Distress Inks for the background to give it that rustic, dirt, guy look.
I punched a hole in the middle of the card and used a pop dot and penny for the horse to rock back and forth.
This is the inside of the card. These are 2 stamps. We made this frame to fit the other sayings we have for our western stamps. It is so easy to fit. I used a Stamp Positioner that sits on my table. EASY!

Fun Animal Cards and More Blog Candy!

Hey Karen here and today I am sharing some cards I made with animal stamps that are available from Crackerbox Palace. You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning this week’s blog candy are below.
But first- the winner of last week’s blog candy of the stamps featured on one of the cards last Thursday is                    Marilyn!
Here is her winning comment from the Crackerbox Palace blog:  Both of these cards are great! I like that pillow box technique and am going to check that out and give it a try. It's a really nice image and the background is perfect for it. Now I really do like that stamp on the second card and the barb wire border. My Dad used to ride bareback in the local rodeos so this brings back a lot of memories.

Marilyn, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want, so we can get you the stamps you have won.  And remember you can win another CBP stamp of your choice simply by posting a card you made with the stamps you won to your blog or Splitcoast Stampers gallery and sending us a link.
My first card above features a favorite cat stamp called Peeking Cat and another favorite CBP sentiment stamp. I stamped the cat on the white layer and also on the orange, then cut away the orange to make it look like it was torn away by the cat. I tore and sponged around the sentiment. My husband loves his kitty and orange is his favorite color, so I used this card for his anniversary card this year (22 happy years celebrated early in August).

My second card features Buddy the fish, a splash stamp and a perfect sentiment. I cut a hole in the front of the card with a circle nestabilities, created a circular frame also with nesties and placed some cool water dp in the inside of the card.

Crackerbox Palace Sponsors Send a Smile 4 Kids!

Happy Labor Day everyone! Karen here with a special blog post about a cause near and dear to my heart. I am the owner of a charitable blog called Send a Smile 4 Kids. Here is a little information about our cause:

Send A Smile 4 Kids is a charitable blog created for the purpose of collecting donated handmade cards to be distributed to children while they are inpatient at Children’s Hospitals. Currently we are donating them to the Children’s Hospitals in Neenah and Milwaukee, WI, University of Iowa Children's Hospital, Iowa City, IA, Blank Children's Hospital, Des Moines, IA, Sandford Children's Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD, and to the B.C. Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia, Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto and Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, in Canada.   On any given day, there are many children inpatient in these hospitals so we would love to receive as many cards as you can send to cheer them and their families. The kids may also use your cards as Thank You Notes to the nurses and doctors and to give to parents or relatives on special days like birthdays or Mothers or Fathers Day.  Any cards appropriate for children are welcome including any holiday (not religious specific please) and happy anyday cards.

Send a Smile 4 Kids (SAS4Kids) runs challenges on the first and third Saturday of every month to draw attention to our cause. You do not have to donate your card(s) to enter our challenges, but our kids would sure love it if you did! We always have some great sponsors and prizes you can win and this challenge - Cute Halloween or Fall Cards 4 Kids which started on Saturday September 1st - Crackerbox Palace is sponsoring us and giving their random winner a $15 gift certificate!!

Crackerbox Palace sent each of the SAS4Kids design team members some fun fall and/or Halloween stamps to make our cards with. The cute easel card above was designed by Lucianna Dilsaver. Click on her name or any of the names below to visit their blogs for more card inspiration.

Hilde Marsh's Card

As always, TEAM S.A.S. did an awesome job with our sponsor's stamps to make cards our kids would love to receive if they are inpatient in one of our eight children's hospitals over Halloween. It may seem early for Fall and Winter holiday cards, but we need to receive them in time to sort them and send to the hospitals before the holidays are here. If you are interested in donating your handmade cards, please visit our blog and click on the tabs at the top for all the information and addresses you will need.

Thanks so much to Vicky and John at Crackerbox Palace for sponsoring SAS4Kids and for the great stamps our team received to design their cards. Come join us for our challenges anytime- we would love to see your cards!

Stamping smiles 4 our kids, Karen
