Sympathy Cards and Another Chance to Win

Karen here today and I am sharing two cards I made with Crackerbox Palace sympathy sentiment stamps and die cuts. You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning are below and now you have even more choices of what you can win!
But first- the winner of last Thursday’s blog candy is  Leanne! Here is her winning comment from my blog: “Really love Vicky's card.”
Leanne, please email me or CrackerboxPalace your address and your choice of which stamps you want (see your options below), so we can get you the stamps you have won.
The first card I am sharing today is my favorite card I have designed lately. It features a  beautiful sympathy sentiment that is perfect for saying just the right thing after a loss. The feather die cut is from QuicKutz and after cutting out the feather, I embossed it with a Sizzix embossing folder. I attached a Clear View Transparency (from the Mark-it Place) behind the feather opening. The feather under the sentiment is another beautiful stamp from Crackerbox Palace which I stamped on patterned paper and cut out. I was inspired to make this card by this card I found on Pinterest.
My second card features another perfect sympathy sentiment, this time embossed in white over a background made with alcohol inks on glossy paper. The park bench die is from Memory Box and I added a punched heart to symbolize the love that remains in our hearts for the departed.
So would you like to win the stamps featured on one of today’s cards or your choice of another CBP stamp? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

Chick's Birthday

Have you ever been to a stamping birthday party?
My friend Chick had a Stampin' Up birthday party. She didn't want any gifts but you could make a Stampin' Up order. Your order would be her gift. Plus she had about a dozen cards for everyone to make. Win, win! This is the card I made her for her birthday.
And this is one of the cards she made for her party from our stamps. I thought this was a neat idea. The square around the bunny she made, she just drew a rectangle around. I am not that good, so I cut out a deckle rectangle from Spellbinders and traced around it, then colored it in. The solid color jellybeans are Brillance ink. A CAS card. I don't do the CAS cards very well, so I was happy to get this sample.
Like I said, I don't do CAS cards very well. I just had to add something, so I added a button. I cut the shank off of the button and colored it with Copic markers. I think Chick did a real nice job on the card even without the basket.

Trena Brannon's Teriffic Cards

I wanted to share some cards from a stampin' sister. I met Trena at a stamping retreat, and I liked her from the moment we said hello. She has such a big warm smile and her energy went through the ceiling and her laugh comes from her heart.
I just had to show off Trena's cards. She made these cards with Crackerbox Palace stamps. She has some more great cards on her blog where you can see them here.
I don't know what your weather is like where you are at, but here it is cold and we have snow on the ground. So I thought these might brighten up your day and think of spring.
I think the thought bubble on the ants were a good idea, don't you?
I like the stripes on the apron that Trena added.

Trena used Stampscapes for the ocean which goes with Clara.
Here are some cupcakes for any occasion.
Doesn't this look just Yummy?
I hope you enjoyed Trena's cards and stop on over to see what else she has made. Trena's blog.

Chalkboard Technique and Great Sentiment Stamps from Crackerbox Palace

Karen here today and I am sharing two cards I made with awesome Crackerbox Palace sentiment stamps and the trendy “Chalkboard Technique” that I learned how to do here. You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning are below and now you have even more choices of what you can win!
But first- the winner of last Thursday’s blog candy is Jan Scholl!
Here is her winning comment from my blog: “I found Crackerbox Palace after seeing the ad in RSM. Looking forward to lots of fun ideas.”
Jan, please email me or CrackerboxPalace your address and your choice of which stamps you want (see your options below), so we can get you the stamps you have won.
To do the Chalkboard Technique, you start with a piece of black cardstock and emboss with white embossing powder the sentiments or stamps you want to feature. I dry embossed the snowman with an embossing folder by Tim Holtz for Sizzix, then stamped and embossed the winter sentiments with white embossing powder. I added some snowflakes with white craft ink and punches and then sponged more white craft ink on to look like chalkboard smudges. Then I drew a border with a white colored pencil and layered onto a blue card.

My second card features two more special sentiment stamps from Crackerbox Palace, some red and black washi tape and the same technique described above. I repeated the “Live out Loud” stamp several times in white craft ink and added some punched musical notes to complete the card.
So would you like to win the stamps featured on one of today’s cards or your choice of another CBP stamp? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

Another Thursday Blog Candy

Vicky here is week, happy Thursday.
Thursday means some more candy!
The first card I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the parchment colored card stock. The saying is from Crackerbox Palace and is also on the same parchement colored card stock as the background and cut out with a Spellbinder die. I used a VersaMark pen around the outer edge to darken it, (the card stock is so light it doesn't show up to well).
I used a Spellbinder die it cut out the frame for the saying.
I also used a VersaMark pen on the outer edge of the frame to darken it. I added pearls of two different colors on the 4 sides.
The next card has our coffee sun stamp. I stamped it and cut it out with Spellbinder die as well as the scalloped mat behind the image. I colored it with Copic markers.
I cut out the saying and sponged ink around the edges.
I added a real coffee bean for my embellishment. If I was sending this in the mail, I would probably just stamp a coffee bean.

I hope you enjoyed the cards this week.

Rubber Stamp Madness Magazine

HAPPY DAY!
A couple of my friends and I were published in the Spring RSM magazine. I really liked this issue ~other than seeing my friends being published :) ~
it has all types of cards, from CAS to artsy. I had a fun time reading the stories they put with the cards. The stories just make the cards even more fun. I hope you pick up RubberStampMadness and take an adventure through the magazine.
The next few cards are under the Incredible Edibles section where you can read the stories.
This one is from Judi Downing named From My Oven on page 38. This is a perfect card for Judi to make since she does a lot of baking and all of us who know her, loves it when she shares her baked goods that are filled with love.

Here is a closeup of Judi's card.
The saying is from Crackerbox Palace.
The girl image is from Door County rubber stamps.
The next one is from Currie Churchill. She has such a great sense of humor! This one is named Hanging On and it's on pg 39.

This is the close up of Currie's card.
All stamps are from Crackerbox Palace.

This is the card I sent in, (Vicky). This is a card that I had been thinking about for a while and just had to do it and get it out of my head! :0)
It's called Ant Picnic on pg. 42

This is a closeup. It's done with Crackerbox Palace and Stampscapes stamps.

This card that Trena did is under the Going Green which is anything green. Her card is named Lucky Frogs pg 56. You can see her post on her blog here.
The stamps she used are from Crackerbox Palace and Stampscapes.

I hope you can take a look at RSM for some great inspiration.
