Easter Bunny and Eggs

It is hard for me to believe it is almost Easter. I hope after Easter Spring will come. When I was little Easter was also the time when I could wear white shoes and then had to put them away on Labor day, anyone remember the Summer colors and Winter colors?
I did use Crackerbox Palace stamps. The die cuts are Spellbinders and was colored in with Copic markers. I did use pop dots under the bunny. On the saying, I tacked it down on the top and used a pop dot at the bottom.
I am not sure where I put the Easter grass, I will probably find it after Easter.
But I did have fusible fibers and Copic refils. This fiber was white and I added a couple of drops of Copic markers and mushed it together and the fibers took it. OH good. I found some little eggs in a drawer and added those.

Thanks for stopping by
hugs, Vicky

Scrap & Stamp Magazine

I want to give Karen Hasheck a big thank you for writing up an article for Scrap & Stamp. If it wasn't for her, I don't know how I would of been able to get the Designer Spotlight done. I also want to thank Scrap & Stamp for publishing the article. I am not good at talking about myself, but I did want to share an article in Scrap & Stamp April issue.
It is a great magazine so I hope you are able to get it and sit down and enjoy every page of wonderful ideas, articles and learn a lot of techniques.

These are the cards that were also published. All stamps used are Crackerbox Palace stamps.
The die cuts are Spellbinders.
The paper is from Club Scrap, I just added our stamps, the lady and the sayings. I think it worked out pretty well.
The background is embossed with Cuttlebug wood grain.
The poster the cat is peeking out of and the cat, as well as the saying are all of our stamps.
The leaves and frame are from Spellbinder. I sponged Brilliance over the leaves before I took the card stock out of the die.
The corner flower is separate from the saying.
All of the frames are from Spellbinder.
I really have fun with all of our western stamps.
The barbwire frame is separate from the saying because there are other sayings that fit into the frame.
If you want to check out the rest of the western stamps, check them out here: This link is cling mounted and just rubber, so if you like wood mount you will have to go to the wood mount section.
This is our boot with flowers. I have used this for about every occasion.
I LOVE the little stamps we have too, check out the happy birthday down in the corner!
All images were colored with Copic markers.
Thanks for stopping by, hugs Vicky

Vicky here today and I am sharing two cards I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps.  You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment on this blog or Karen's blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning are below and now you have even more choices of what you can win!
But first- the winner of last Thursday’s blog candy is Barbara W!
Here is her winning comment from my blog: “Both cards are so cute. The cafe card has such great layering and the sentiment is so great.
Barbara, please email Karen or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want (see your options below), so we can get you the stamps you have won.
Can you believe that Easter is just in a couple of weeks?
The cards I made this week are CAS and made for mailing, so no flowers or any big embellishments.
The die cuts are from Spellbinders. The frame I used for the eggs I outlined with the Spica glitter pens from Copic. The eggs are colored in with the Copic markers. The daisy is a button that I cut the shank off of. I did heat emboss the saying.
This card is another CAS. The blue background was cut out with a Spellbinder and then embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

The oval is another Spellbinder die
.Before I took off the die, I sponged Brilliance Sky Blue around the edges. The image I stamped on light tan and embossed with clear embossing powder and then stamped again on white to cut out the words. I added the eyes with white pearls then black.
One thing I like about Easter (other than the Peeps) is the chocolate bunnies!

Red, Kraft and Light Blue- Inside and Out!

Karen here today and I am sharing two cards I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps and the colors red, kraft and light blue. I love this color combo and had fun designing these cards- inside and out! You can win your choice of the stamps featured on one of these cards by leaving a comment at either blog. The simple requirements for a chance at winning are below and now you have even more choices of what you can win!
But first- the winner of last Thursday’s blog candy is Susan L!
Here is her winning comment from my blog: “both cards are awesome. The crooked birdhouse held on with string is a unique idea.
Susan, please email me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want (see your options below), so we can get you the stamps you have won.
The first card I am sharing above starts with a red square card and I have added layers of embossed plaid colors (folder by Sizzix) and plaid border punches (ek success). Then I added the table and fun sentiment from Crackerbox Palace. The rest of the lol sentiment, another perfect CBP stamp and the plaid border continue the theme inside the card.

My second card features the same fun color combo and sentiments on the front and inside. I layered the feet stamp blue on red, and paper pieced the feet and flower.

4 The Boys from Send A Smile 4 Kids blog

I just want to share with you some fantastic cards that Karen and her designers made over at Send A Smile 4 Kids blog. She has a challenge going on For The Boys.
I hope you hop over to her blog and join the challenge.

Karen writes on her blog:
It’s Saturday and time for another fun challenge here at Send a Smile 4 Kids! This time our challenge is For the Boys! Boys cards are the type of cards we receive the least of, especially cards for older boys, so we are challenging you to make a card for a boy and enter our challenge. You do not have to donate your card(s) after you enter our challenge, but our boys who are inpatient in one of the children's hospitals we serve would sure love it if you did. And remember we are a card only challenge- cuz that is what we are all about- cards for our kids!

Amazing cards as always from our wonderful design team! You have until Friday March 15th at noon CST to enter this challenge. After you do, please consider sending in your card(s) to cheer a child who is inpatient in one of our eight children’s hospitals. All the information you need is on her blog under the tabs at the top of her blog.

Here are the first two cards on her blog, go and check out the rest of the wonderful cards the girls made.

Check out the rest of the card Here.
