Karen is published in Scrap & Stamp

Have you seen the new Scrap & Stamp for January? It is so exciting that Karen has a article and cards published. This is not the first time she has been published, she has had many cards and articles published. I am so glad that this time she used exclusively our stamps for her positive and negative article. She posted on her blog that she is so thankful for so many things. I know I am thankful for getting to know her and having her friendship.
Here is the cover of the magazine her article is in:
On page 15 starts the article.

She has posted on her blog the first card in the article.
On Karen's blog she writes:
Thankful for so many things.... Family and Friends are first on the long list of things I am grateful for this Thanksgiving, of course. I am very blessed in both of those! I am also very grateful for the joy I have experienced this year designing cards and blogging and getting articles accepted for publication in Scrap and Stamp Arts. The current issue (January 2014) is on the bookshelves right now- look for the cover shown to the right here on my blog. On page 15 you will see this card featured on the first page of an article I wrote about using the positives and negatives of die cuts. The feather die is from Lifestyle Crafts and the embossing folder is by Sizzix.
All the stamps on all the cards I designed for this article are from Crackerbox Palace and I am also very grateful for the friendship and fun I have had this past year designing cards for Crackerbox Palace! Their website is being re-designed currently, but when it opens again, you will want to check out their awesome stamps. I especially love their sentiments stamps- check out the inside of this card:

I like how Karen embossed the feather to add texture.
Here are the other cards in the article.
I really like what she did with our feather stamp at the bottom of the card and how she embossed the feather again.
I think this is such a neat retirement card a perfect picture of retirement should look like.
Karen broke up the saying of the retired stamp, it is sold as one saying and she did a great job of making the saying an outside/inside saying.
Thank you SO SO much Karen for making such beautiful cards and using our stamps.

  2. Well done Karen, we don't get that mag over here, I love that die too, and the positive negative technique is so good I may try it if I find the right die! I love that deer in the first card.
