Happy Halloween with Crackerbox Palace Stamps and Dies

Karen here and today I am sharing a Halloween card I made for my grandson with some Crackerbox Palace stamps and a fun new interactive die I purchased from Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Crafts. The picture above shows the card closed and here is a picture of how the card looks when you pull the tab:

I stamped the funny Halloween poem and bats from Crackerbox Palace and hung a ghost charm from the frame. The bat fence was created with a Martha Stewart punch and the Halloween cardstock is from my stash.

Here is another look at the card as well as the inside where I stamped another Halloween CBP greeting:

CAS Hello Card with Clarity Stencil Brushes

Karen here and today I am sharing a pretty Hello card I made with some Crackerbox Palace stamps and Clarity Stencil Brushes. I love the soft look achieved when using the Clarity Stencil brushes with any inks. I started with an A2 top folding white card. I used a Clarity Stencil brush to brush on Faded Jeans Distress Ink along the bottom of a piece of white cardstock. Then I brushed on orange and yellow dye inks and finished with a little Tumbled Glass Distress Ink along the top. I stamped Crackerbox Palace’s pine tree and brush stamps, cut the piece into three pieces and attached to the white card base. I added a CBP stamped “hello” to complete the card.

Have a Kitty Cat Birthday

Karen here and today I am sharing a birthday card I made with some Crackerbox Palace stamps and Clarity Stencil Brushes. I am loving the subtle soft look that is so easy to achieve with the Clarity brushes and ink. I inked orange ink through a fern stencil onto the orange card base for a tone on tone look. Then I stamped and paper pieced the sleeping kitty and stamped the perfect sentiment from Crackerbox Palace. This is going to be my husband’s birthday card from me and our kitty Lucky.  He always says he wants to be reincarnated as a cat in a loving home like ours. What a life- eat, sleep, play, repeat.

Soft Embossed Sympathy Card

Karen here and today I am sharing a sympathy card I made with some Crackerbox Palace stamps and Clarity Stencil Brushes. I am loving the subtle soft look that is so easy to achieve with the Clarity brushes and ink. I heat embossed Crackerbox Palace’s beautiful rose bouquet with white embossing powder in the center of my card front. I applied a strip of temporary tape on all four sides for a mask and then used a Clarity Stencil Brush to bring in soft color in the rectangle opening around the roses. After I removed the temporary tape strips, I applied just a little pink around the edges of the card front to soften those as well. I stamped CBP’s “With Sympathy” to complete the front of the card. I also stamped one of my favorite Crackerbox Palace sentiments on the inside of the card:

The Clarity Stencil Brushes are available at Crackerbox Palace on line, but the website is in transition right now. You can find out more about them by calling the store at 608-755-4638 or emailing them at crackerbox@crackerboxstamps.com.

Love You to the Moon and Back Tri-Fold Card

Karen here and today I am sharing a tri-fold card I made with some new Crackerbox Palace stamps. I have always loved the saying “I love you to the moon and back” and was happy that CBP has it for sale along with the moon and stars stamps. I folded a long card in thirds, punched a circle out of the top and added a punched row of stars along the bottom of the front of the card. I did all the stamping on the front of the card and added the moon circle piece in the circular hole I had punched. Here is a look at the 2nd and 3rd panels where I added stars and sentiment die cuts from Tonic Studios to complete the card:

4th of July is Almost Here!

Karen here and today I am sharing a 4th of July card I made for a very special person with Crackerbox Palace stamps. Hard to believe it is almost the 4th of July- I say it every year- where does the summer go so fast? I was playing with a new technique using toilet paper and designed this card with one of my favorite Crackerbox Palace silhouette stamps showing a patriotic parade of kids. We loved to be part of the parades in my small town where I grew up so this stamp just makes me smile. I explained this technique and shared the source where I learned it in this blog post on my blog. For this card I used an embossing folder from Darice for the top tp part and also punched some stars from the tp piece as well. I stamped CBP’s 4th of July Parade in black on the red card base for a fun partriotic card.

Wine Lover's Birthday Card for Vicky!

Karen here and today I am sharing the Happy Birthday card I made for a very special person with Crackerbox Palace stamps. The owner of CBP and my dear friend, Vicky Briggs, celebrated her birthday last weekend and I made her this card with CBP stamps and BoBunny glitter paste (which CBP also sells at stamp shows.) I pulled out a couple fun stencils and sponged the background of the white A2 card with the ink getting lighter towards the left side of the card. I stamped, cut out and sponged ink on the wine bottle and wine glass, then applied red glitter paste through two other stencils. I stamped a fun Crackerbox Palace sentiment and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops to complete the wine lover’s card.

School Color Graduation Thank You Card

Karen here and today I am sharing a graduation thank you card I made for my sister and nephew with Crackerbox Palace stamps. In fact I made 50 of them! Thank goodness for my MISTI! After I did all the cutting and die cutting, I lined up the three graduation stamps from Crackerbox Palace and stamped each of the 50 card fronts easily and quickly. I used my nephew’s school colors and dies from Tim Holtz and My Creative Time. Loving the great graduation stamps from CBP that can be found here on the website!

Thank You for Bee-ing Such a Great Friend

Karen here and today I am sharing a thank you card I made for a friend with Crackerbox Palace stamps. This was a very easy card to make but I like how it turned out. I sponged through a stencil to make the background and then simply stamped the bees, beehive and perfect sentiment from Crackerbox Palace. I attached the card front to a black card base.

Thank You for your Support

Karen here and today I am sharing a feminine thank you card I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps. I started the card by sponging pink ink through a stencil called Check-mate by Wendy Vecchi for Studio 490. I stamped the bra on floral pink dp and cut it out. I created a clothesline with bakers twine and hung the bra with two pink clothespins. I stamped the perfect sentiment from Crackerbox Palace and layered the card front onto a pink card base.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from Crackerbox Palace

Karen here and today I am sharing a St Patrick’s Day card I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps. I tried the Pleated Skirt Fold I learned about on Split Coast Stampers for the first time on this card and like how it turned out. I stamped CBP’s many shamrocks in green on the top part of the top folding A2 card and stamped “Happy St. Patrick’s Day” on the bottom.

Fabulous Black Dress Card

Karen here and today I am sharing a “Little Black Dress” card I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps. I am a big fan of Chris Young’s Black Dress Song (Getting’ You Home), and you can click on the title to see a video. I started this card by heat embossing Crackerbox Palace’s Little Black Dress and “You’re Utterly Fabulous” with black embossing powder on watercolor paper. Then I sprinkled on some Magenta Nuance colored powders and spritzed them with Glimmer Mist to release the soft colors. I attached a strip of black glitter tape on the left side of a white A2 card base and then attached the fun and fabulous finished card front.

Happy Dance Mixed Media Designing

Karen here and today I am sharing a Mixed Media style card I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps. I don’t often design cards in this style, but I was inspired by the new Just Mixed Media! Issue of Just Cards I received this week. The magazine is packed full of beautifully photographed mixed media wall art, tags, atcs, journals and cards. I have a four cards in the issue including a Happy card on the cover (a first for me.)

I started the card above by heat embossing with white embossing powder a few fun stamped images from Crackerbox Palace. Then I sprinkled on orange, green and purple Color Burst powders and spritzed with silver iridescent Glimmer Mist. I added some black Viva Modelling Paste through a TCW stencil. When that was dry, I sponged on some black distress ink through another TCW stencil and around all the edges. I also did some doodling in the petals of the center flower with a thin black marker. I attached the completed card front to a black A2 card base.

Main Squeeze Valentine

Karen here and today I am sharing another card I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps, a stencil and BoBunny glitter paste. I think these kissing giraffes are so sweet and the sentiment from CBP is perfect for my DH. I stamped the giraffes on patterned kraft paper, did a little coloring and cut them out. I applied red and gold BoBunny glitter paste through a hearts stencil to complete this CAS Valentine.

Rainy Day Card with BoBunny Glitter Paste

Karen here and today I am sharing a card I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps, a stencil and BoBunny glitter paste. This rainy day lady stamp is one of my favorites at Crackerbox Palace. And I love how you can use BoBunny glitter paste with a stencil like stencil paste, but it dries much quicker and is so sparkly! I used silver BoBunny glitter paste and a stencil from Memory Box to create the rain on this card. I stamped and paper pieced the beautiful lady and raised her with pop dots on the navy blue piece which I attached to a green card base.

Batik Background Get Well Bear Card

Karen here and today I am sharing a get well card I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps and a background technique called Batik. I was reminded of this technique by this tutorial that I pinned. I heat embossed Crackerbox Palace’s band-aids several times on a white cardstock piece with white embossing powder. Then I bent the piece in many directions causing the “cracks”. I sponged several colors of green distress ink all over the piece, distressed the edges and attached to a dark green card base.  I stamped the sweet Get Well Bear on white cardstock and also on kraft and blue dp. I paper pieced the bear and his hospital gown and colored the rest, then attached him with pop dots.

Wine Me Up and Celebrate the New Year!

Karen here and today I am sharing a celebration card I made with Crackerbox Palace stamps,  the Deep Impressions technique and BoBunny glitter paste. I started with a stars stencil and applied gold BoBunny glitter paste through the stars openings. BoBunny glitter paste dries much faster than the usual stencil paste and is bright and sparkly. I stamped CBP’s wine bottle stamp on chipboard and cut them out. I applied several layers of embossing powders including red and gold and melted them on an electric griddle. While the embossing powders were still molten, I stamped the wine bottle stamp into them. I finished the card with the funny wine sentiment from Crackerbox Palace.

Happy New Year from Crackerbox Palace and me!
