Mad about you Valentine

Vicky here today. I thought I would do a Valentine's card for a guy. Since it was for a guy, I didn't want to add anything frilly. I try to stay with colors guys might like, and no frills.
As you can see the 'Mad about You' fits since this couple are in straight jackets, a little humor. I also used clear lacquer on their eyes and teeth to make them a little shinny. They were colored with Copic markers.
This is the wood mount stamp, I didn't use the hearts on the stamp, I cut out the image without them.
I used the Cuttlebug die from years ago for the heart.
This is the inside of the card. I used more of the hearts from the die cut. And a little more humor...'main squeeze', (in the straight jacket).

Marriage card from stamper

Vicky here today. We received a card from a stamper who used a couple of our stamps. I have to apologize for not posting this as soon as I got it, I took the picture and brought it into CorelDraw to get it ready to post but never got it on the blog. So here it is today!
I want to thank the stamper for sending us the card, we appreciate it. She used our chicken and saying on the inside of the card.
I have to guess on the technique. So I am guessing that the chicken image is stamped on a glossy piece of card stock that a marbled technique was used. The marbled technique is sponging alcohol inks on the glossy card stock. The background looks like the chicken wire was embossed with a embossing folder and sponged ink over the embossed area. I am not sure about the words, if she stamped each letter or if it is a stamp, but I like it.
The inside looks like the same marbled technique. I like that she added a feather, it adds to the humor.
I want to thank the stamper again for sending us the card.
I hope you have enjoyed the card as much as we do.

Fun cards from Suzy

I have some card to share with you.
Suzanne is a stamper I met when we were in Mesa, AZ. Since then she has shared some cards with me that she has made. It has been so much fun, Suzy has such a good sense of humor. I remember her smiling and laughing when she was at our booth and she likes to share the smiles by the cards that she makes.  Her line of cards are 'So Suzy' and she calls them 'snarky' which I think is a great description for them.
I wanted to share this one first since it is so bright. (I hope she doesn't mind I am sharing this) Suzy wrote to me:  I figured having some bright and cheeriness in December would be a good thing.
And isn't she right? This is just one card she will be doing in her class tomorrow.
To check out her fb page go here.
The stamps she used on the outside of her cards are not Crackerbox's stamps, but the saying she used on the inside is.
Here are some more cards that she has made.
To check out how she made the background with Liquid Pears, check out her fb page.
The inside of the card. All of these images are Crackerbox Palace stamps.
Here is another great card. We have the fisherman, but the single fish are not ours. I think any guy would like getting this card.
I hope you have enjoyed the card Suzy made, I certainly  have.

Get Well Soup

Hi Stampers.  Here is Wisconsin the weather is getting cold pretty fast, not sure where Fall went. I guess I have to get out the fuzzy socks and soft blankets. I thought I would make an idea for someone who is under the weather, a little chicken soup and a smile.

I colored our chicken with Copic markers and then added clear lacquer. Where it looks white, it's just reflection.
I cut a long strip and folded it. Measure your soup envelope and make it 1" bigger. Cut your printed card stock smaller to your taste. You only have to cut the printed card stock so it goes beyond the opening. I used 1/16 tape on the edge to close the pocket.
I thought the package was perfect to give someone for a pick me up.

Greener Grass

Hi, I hope you are having a great Sunday. Here is WI, fall has started, the leaves are changing colors and falling and it is getting cooler. So you are probably wondering why I am posting golf cards. Well, we are on our way to Mesa, AZ in a couple of days to do a show with Rubber Stamp Events. Barb posted this card on her fb page. You can see her fb page here.
If you want to find out about the convention it is here.
This is a half easel card. I just folded it like a normal card then folded the top in half. I put pop dots under the saying so it sticks up and catches the folded half. It lays flat to mail. Hope you are having good weather where ever you are.

Hello Kitty

This stamp reminds me of our cat. Our daughter lives with us until she closes on her house. Rachael has 3 dogs, with our 2 we have 5 that need to go out a number of times a day. It is impossible to keep our boy inside. Plus during the nice weather she had the windows open downstairs so he could come and go as he pleased. Now, it's 40 degrees here in WI so the windows are now all shut and he sits by the patio door and windows wanting to get out, I think he think summer is out there somewhere.
I used Copic markers to color the image.
