Valentine's Day Box

This is a box that Currie made from a box she received for something else.  In the inside cover she was able to slip in the new picture she made.  A box like this could be made into a birthday,  anniversary or any other occasion box.
So just in case you get a box like this for Valentine's Day, keep it and re-gift it!
Currie put glitter around the outer edge of the picture.

This is the side of the box.  Isn't this a pretty box that would be great to fill and give away?

Valentine's Day Book

I know Valentine's Day is almost here but I had to share these great ideas from Currie.
This is what it looks like all put together.  She used a lot of embellishments to make it very interesting to look at.
This is the front cover. The arrow is cut out of the middle of 2 pieces of chipboard, acetate and ribbon were put between the chipboard and Be My Valentine stamped on the acetate.  She punched holes around the arrow and threaded beads on a thread to put through the holes front and back.
The second page has Crackerbox Palace flowers stamped right on the printed paper and colored. Liquid pearls were also used on the flowers.

The words from Crackerbox Palace were stamped on Tim Holtz Fragments (which Currie likes to use alot!) and put on the page.
The next page the 2 hearts and Cherib were stamped.

The last page she punched holes on the top and bottom and added beads as she thread the twine through the holes.  She also stamped to background stamps above and below the script paper.  Currie stamped I Love You on the script paper and again used the Fragments with the heart stamps.
Here is a close up on the beads, background stamp, and fragments

This card was stamped with Crackerbox Palace stamps and colored with Copic markers.
The area around the flowers were dusted with Distress Ink.
The rim of the image was embossed with gold embossing powder.
The frame is cut with a Spellbinder, and the corners of the layers behind the image were trimmed with a corner punch.
The saying and mounting card stock behind the saying were cut with Spellbinders

Valentine's Wild Lion

A Valentine for a guy
This lion is from Crackerbox Palace rubber stamps.
All of the mounting paper and the Shrink Plastic is cut from Spellbinders.
The lion is colored with Copic markers.
The Shrink Plastic is stamped with StazOn.

The picture on the left is the Shrink Plastic before it is shrunk.
I punched the hole in the Shrink Plastic BEFORE I shrunk it.
Of course the picture on the right is the 'after' the shrink.
I just love the Shrink Plastic!

Valentine Heart Candy

I thought I would share with you some of the candy we are handing out at work that Lois made for us. This might be an idea that you could use for co-workers, friends. You could just hand out at random if a sales clerk has been helpful just to brighten up their day.
All of the hearts are hand punched. The bottom and larger top is punched with a scalloped punch and the smaller heart that is stamped with the saying is a straight edge heart punch.
All of the sayings are from Crackerbox Palace rubber stamps.
This is the heart candy that is sandwiched between the bottom and top punched heart.

Jar of Hearts

Valentine's Day if coming up fast!
Here is an idea of a quick card that you can make for a friend.
The background is cut from Spellbinder dies.
The jar is stamped on white card stock and cut out. I stamped the hearts on colored paper and cut them out.
Then I stamped it on acetate and cut out the top and bottom. When I got to cutting the sides, I made wings or flaps to fold around the jar so it is rounded out.
The jar and hearts are Crackerbox Palace rubber stamps.

Happiness through your door

In the background Chick used Stampscapes stamps for the clouds, mountain and path.  The saying is from Crackerbox Palace stamps.
The green and gold board used is a piece of cardboard with wallpaper over top.  The opening is a Tim Holtz die cut with gold marker around the inner and outer edges.  The trees and the houses are also from Tim Holtz die cut collection.  She put some scrapes she had from left overs from clear with glitter stickers.   Then she added snow to the trees and houses.

Let It Snow Shaker

I don't know about you, but here in Wisconsin we have a dusting of snow.
The background was embossed with Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and white ink was used over the embossed area then added some Stickles.
Currie made this shaker card using fake snow and a square Shake It window.
She used Copic markers for the shovel and stamped the sayings with blue ink with glitter.
She put Ice Stickles around the window.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Coffee Calendar Book

Now that the new year started we need new calendar books.
Here is an idea from Currie.  She used a old photo album.
If you are not a coffee drinker, it is still a good idea if you like to up-cycle. Use your old calendar book, put a new face on it and get the calendar pages and you have a very personal book.
Starting with an old photo album, she cut the shapes with Cricut Storybook cartridge.
Stamped it with Distress Inks and colored with Copic markers.
This could also be a address book. Good idea for next years Christmas gift for someone!
