Not Enough Coffee

Lois Larson made this card.  I thought it might be a good one to put after 'Black Friday'.  My daughter asked me and a friend of hers to go out at 11:00pm on Thanksgiving to get started shopping at midnight.  We got done at 7:30am on Friday morning.  Shopping all night wasn't bad, but then we had Thanksgiving dinner at noon.  Oh yes, too much morning and not enough coffee!  Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving.  This card is pretty straight forward.  She stamped the sun with the coffee and cut it out.  She then stamped it again and cut the coffee cup out and popped it up.  The words are stamped with white ink and then put the pearls on.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
This is such a great time of the year to give thanks on what we are thankful for.  This is a tag I made for my friends. One of the things I am thankful for are my friends.  They seem to always be there.
I used the 'Duster brushes' to brush on an assortment of Distress Ink colors.  Used a Cuttlebug border folder for the embossing on the top of the tag and then used the Scor-Pal to add the lines on the top and bottom of the embossed area.  The leaf is from the Assorted Leaves from Spellbinders.  The pumpkin is also from Spellbinder and then used Copic markers for the lines-E21, E51, E53, E57. Then I  dusted Dried Marigold Distress Ink around the edges into the center and left the center lighter to make it look more round.  I only tacked down the bottom of the leaf and had it laying across the pumpkin so the top of the leaf was free.  I edged the tag with a sponge and Colorbopx Copper Swift.  The 'Thank you so much' is from the top line of Wonderful for you- H04113, I masked the rest of the saying.

Happy Dust

Lois Larson did this card.  The background is textured wall paper that she rubbed a glue pad across and sprinkled on "Happy Dust" (glitter).  She sponged blue ink around the saying and colored the fairy (Constance-H00211) with colored pencils.

Feeling Green

Thought I would post a get well card. There are a lot of people around here that has the flu, and or cold or just 'feeling a little green'.

Talking about green, Lois was 'being green' by cutting the jar out of the Spellbinder packaging. Save those packages!  We find it usefull for many things.  They can be used for templates because they are thicker than acetate.  They make a great embellishment if you stamp on one side and color on another. Well, I am getting off the subject so I will leave more ideas for the packaging for later. But seeing the bugs will put a smile on anyones face.  And I hope everyone who is reading this is healthy.

Lois Larson made this card.
Thanks Lois!

Thank you bird

Betty Henthorn made this cute thank you card from one of our new stamps. She inked the first line of the stamp and masked the rest for the front of the card. She stamped the rest of the saying on the inside of the card.  The bird is cut from a die cut she purchased through Stampin' Up. The cut out oval and scalloped oval is Spellbinders. Thanks Betty.

These stamps are shown on wood block,
but you have a choice to get
just rubber, cling foam or wood mount

It's been one of those days with shark

I know this card is different than the ones you usually see or will see here, but when John found the image of the shark, I throught of Kevin's card from Stampscapes right away.  I have been wanting to do this card for a while and thought I would just do it. I know it is a little different for a card, but oh well... Again, the Stampscapes stamps are so easy and fun to work with I hope you have been able to enjoy some of them.

Betty's Card - using one of our "New" Stamps!

While I was at the store this morning, a stamper came in and dropped off these cards to share. She used  some of our new stamps as well as Spellbinders and Cuttlebug folder.

The outside of the card.

This is one stamp that has a space between the two statements so you can use it as one stamps or easily mask or cut it apart.

This is the inside of the card.

I think she did a really good job shaping the card to make it more interesting.

Great job Betty and thank you,

Christmas is Just Around the Corner

I was able to get down stairs and do some stamping with a few of our new stamps and I also used a couple of Stampscapes stamps. I really like these stamps, Kevin does such a great job with his stamps. They are so easy to create a scene.

I have been seeing a lot of Christmas cards on the blog sites and I know Christmas is just around the corner, but it has been so nice here in Wisconsin it is hard to believe.  As I think about Christmas, I think about snow so I did a card with a lot of snow to get myself ready for the upcoming season.

I have fallen hard for the Copic markers so most of my cards now are done with the Copic markers. I love how every marker can be used as a blending pen.

Thank you Sally Lynn!

Here is another card with Stampscapes and another new stamp, "Happy Anniversary" [B04205-R].  This was colored with the Copic markers also. I did use Shimmers and painted Sky Blue color over the water to make it 'shimmer'.

Welcome to our new blog

First, I want to thank Connie for helping me setup the blog, she sure has been a great help. I had been playing with it for a short time but it was Connie who got in and did the rest of it and pushed the 'publish' button and made me take the plunge to get it up and running. I am sure we will be tweaking it for a while. Starting this is a bit scary for me.

John and I started Crackerbox Palace rubber stamps about 4 years ago. We like to look at things on the 'lighter side' so a lot of our stamps are humorous. We hope this blog will help inspire you as well as make you smile.

Here is our online store:

We have a small physical store that has been opened for 9 years, and is located at 1321 W. Court St. Janesville, WI. In the store we carry more than 80 stamp companies and products, plus a large line of our own stamps. The thing I like best about having the store are the people. We have met a lot of wonderful friends that are great stampers too. At just about any time you can stop by and find our stampers in the store chit chatting and sharing their ideas. And that brings me to our blog. We would like to share some chit chat and post ideas with a link or if you don't have a blog, we will post your ideas here for you. To have an idea posed we are asking that you use at least one of our stamps as the main focal point. If you have other stamps from other companies that you want to add to your project we will accept it.

We will be adding 40+ new stamps to the on-line store shortly and we will post them here also.

Here are 2 cards from our new stamps to give you an idea of a couple of the new sayings.

Hope you enjoy.

Please Be Patient

Thanks for stopping by. Connie and I are still working on setting up the blog.  We have been dividing our time on the blog and also have been working on our 40+ new stamps. Please check back with us. We will be using this blog to share our ideas as well as other stampers ideas. While we are setting the blog up, stop by the store and take a look!
