We have some new stamps for a fun BBQ summer at the Crackerbox Palace and I made this card from a couple of them. We have a few sayings that you can use for the apron. The one I used for the apron I also used with VersaMark for the back ground. The BBQ utinsiles were stamped and cut out to put in the pockets. I used Copic markers to color the hot dog and pop dots for behind the hotdog.

Give a Man a Fish
Currie really did a great job on this one, like usual, but this one I saved to post closer to Father's Day.
She put so much interest in this card. The brads in the corner symbolize bubbles, at least to me they do. The inside is just as interesting when you open the card PLUS there is an extra bonus saying in a pocket that is sewn on the back. There is so much to this card I had to give you a few pictures of it.
Currie said she loved pairing these stamps. She stamped on white and blue cardstock. Cut out man and shark from white, just the water is left on the blue. She colored with Copic markers and used an edge scrapper, various brands of eyelets, juste for fishing line, blue ink pad ofr distressed water and paper crimper from Fiskers and rounded the corners with a punch.
On the inside she stamped tahe images and colored all with Copic markers, even the water. I "broke" the fishing pole by masking off and stamping it twice. The beer can is actually the vitamin C bottle stamp.
She sewed a pocket on the back for saying and hooked it with more jute. If you look at the first picture you can see it peeking up from the back.
The saying in the pocket it attached to the card.
I hope you enjoyed Currie's card, we do here at the Crackerbox Palace and maybe you got some Father's Day ideas. Thanks for looking.

Whale of a Good Time
It's been a whale of a long time since I have posted something. We have been busy with some new stamps that will show up on the web site by Thursday, 10th.
We got to visit Currie and her family and had a whale of a good time so I thought I would post this card she made.
She used Crackerbox Palace rubber stamps and Cricut cartridge, Just Because for the card shape. The wavy edge came from the Fiskars wavy edge paper timmer and colored in with Copic markers and Glaze pens.
I thought this was such a great idea that I wanted you to see.
This inside looks like this: even the inside of the card is as interesting as the outside, it would make someone real feel special!

Hello Who
Hello, Currie made this card with Crackerbox Palace stamps and used Copic markers to color it. She kept matting the image until she was happy and did a very good job and brining out the colors with her matting. Around the 'hello' and on the dark card stock she ran Tim Holtz edge scrapper to add some texture. She punched holes on top of the card and ran jute through each one of them and tie it.

All Week...Randall
Currie made this card with Randall from Crackerbox Palace. She stamped and colored this guy a lot of times not to lose his eyes with over coloring. Finally got the idea of using a small hole punch and tape white paper with new eyes on back of image. Storybook cartridge from Cricut for shapes and Copic markers for color. She put brads at the top in the sampe color of paper because it needed something.
I think she did a great job on this. When you see it in real life, the eyes really show up and your eyes are drawn to Randall and his mask is the focal point. I will try to show you with a close up of Randall.

Thank You Flowers
Here is a thank you card I made from Crackerbox Palace stamps, and I colored it with Copic markers.
I used Spellbinders to mat the saying and the image. I used all white flowers but colored one of the flowers with the darkest color Copic marker I used for the jar.

Hello Triple Fold
Buttons, Brads and Bows- there is a lot on this card to look at!
Currie made this card to say Hello. I found it very interesting to look at. I like cards that I really have to look at to see everything, and this is one of them.
Currie used Copic markers and ink pad for distressing. She kept matting the stamped images until she was happy. She used Tim Holtz edge scrapper on the dark gray mat and on the Hello sign. Punched holes on top to sew the jute.
This is the back, she even made this side interesting! This card you can look at for a while and find new things. All stamps are from Crackerbox Palace stamps.
Birthday Acetate
Thisis a card that Claudia Schroedl made from acetate. The card is laying on a sheet of red card stock. She masked the bottom part of the stamp, (which she stamped on the inside). She stamped the saying on the purple card stock and then on black card stock and cut out the words 'bad & good' and used pop dots to put them on the card.
This is the inside of the card. 'Happy Belated Birthday' is glued on the inside in the same place the as the saying on the front of the card. The 'I forgot your age' which is on the same stamp as the saying on the front is glued in the same spot as the front saying also.
