Christmas Wreath with Ornaments

Are you decorating for the holidays yet?  Currie has made some ornaments that can be hung on the tree, wreath or on the windows since she also stamped the backs.

On all of the ornaments, Currie used the Sizzix ornament ball die.

The top of the ornaments were made from Grungeboard and then used Distress Embossing powder.

Stamped both the front and the back of each ornament with Crackerbox Palace stamps.

Glossy Accents, string and Stickles were used to embellish.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

This card was a challage from one of my customers at the store.  We were talking about sitting in your craft room and do some 'playing', just being with your craft things and try different things not really with a project in mind.  I had a bunch of stuff on the counter and she asked if I could make a card with the stuff I had laying there and this is what I came up with.

This card is light blue.  Metallic paper of Champaign and Copper is used in mounting the image.

Martha Stewart punch is used behind the image.  Tim Holtz Sizzix was the cutout background that the image is on.  Smooch spritz was put on the cutout, I like this spritz because it does not ripple the card stock.  I used Crackerbox Palace stamps to stamps the image and saying and then added the pearls.

Christmas Greetings with bottle caps

Nothing like snow to get us into the holiday spirit here in Wisconsin.  The snow started late last night and is still snowing, we are up to about 6". I am wondering if I should put Christmas songs on at the store when I get there.

Currie has done another great card.

Currie used Distress inks for the background as well as the distress tool for the edges.

The small snowflake stamp were used in the background.

She colored the bottle caps with StazOn, stamped the image and punched it out then put clear lacquer in them.  If you put a magnet behind them and a magnet in the card to hold them there, the person you give it to will be able to take them off and decorate their refrigerator.  To finish off the card, Currie added some of her favorite silver stars.

All of the stamps used are from Crackerbox Palace rubber stamps.

Christmas Tree distress

I can't believe we are in the last month of the year, but here we are!

Wisconsin is getting very cold and it snowed yesterday so I guess I am getting use to the idea Christmas is coming soon.  Currie is ahead of me in the season spirit because she already got some Christmas cards done-thank you Currie.  I hope you will enjoy the cards she made as much as I do.

Currie glued My Minds Eye patterned paper to the green card.

She tore the right side of the card stock and then crumbled up the piece of paper before she put Distress ink over it.

She used a corner punch on the brown card stock and glued it to the distress paper.

The Christmas tree was colored with Marvy Brush markers to multi color the image.

Gelly roll pen with glitter was used on the star. The edge distress was used around the image.

Merry Christmas was stamped with Distress ink, cut around it and used a corner punch and then add brads.

Pup in Sock

The Christmas tree is a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

It was embossed on shimmer gree paper.

Brillance ink was rubber over the embossed area and gem stickers were put on.

The green shimmer paper is mounted on red card stock.

The saying and puppy in sock are Crackerbox Palace stamps.

The puppy was stamped on white card stock and cut out.

The puppy was colored but the sock has white and red flock on it to make it fuzzy soft.

Stampscapes Christmas Ornament

The base of the card is a metallic paper.

The border on top is a Cuttlebug border embossing folder.

The snowflake background is also a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I used light tan card stock and sponged brown ink from the outer edge inward.

The background color around the ornament is the same color card stock as the base card.

The church from Stampscapes is stamped on a lighter color than the snowflakes.

The back ground paper behind the saying is the same as the church and edged with brown ink.

The saying is the same color card stock as the snowflakes and cut out with Spellbinder and edged with brown ink.  The saying is stamped with the same brown ink and embossed.

Blessing Tag

Chick cut card stock to a tag shape. 

She embossed the cattails with Tim Holtz embossing folder.

Distress ink was sponged from the outer edges in and even over the cattails.

Using liquid glue she covered the cattails.

She stamped the saying and put the fibers on.

She covered the cattails with Flock, 2 different browns and white.

Kevin Nakagawa Haunted House

This is a card that I got to watch Kevin (owner of Stampscapes) make.

Some stampers of one of his groups got together in Chicago to stamp together in August this year and he made this card.

Kevin used Stampscapes and Crackerbox Palace stamps.

He used Marvy inks and Colorbox Stylus.  White ink was added over the windows and as haze.  A white pen was used for the dots.
