Circle Flowers in a frame

Well, Currie did it again!   Made art work for the wall.
She took it all apart and junked the glass. Then painted the frame cream (same paint as she painted her porch). She used small chipboard pieces and painted them with Shimmers.  Next cut small cardstock pieces to fit over the chipboard circles.  She stamped the flower images on the circles and then colored them with Copic markers and distressed the edges and WOW what a great piece of art for the wall!

Gossiping Ladies

Remember the ladies bridge clubs? That was quite a network.
Currie stamped the image with VersaMark and used embossing powder.
She colored it with Copic Markers, distressed the edges around the saying.
The embossed dots were done with the Cuttlebug.
Doesn't this make a great friend card?

Surfin' Madison

I know you have seen a lot of cards made from Currie Churchill, this card was given to me by her daughter, Madison who is 9 years old.  I think she did a great job on this card.
She stamped the image on the card stock and cut out the bottom of the girl.
She wrinkled up white card stock and wiped an ink pad over the creases for the water.
The sand is colored with an ink pad and cut out and put behind her girl.
The surf board is stamped, colored and cut out with Crystal Effects put on the red.
Thank you Madison for the great card.

Accident Tag

Currie made this card for her sister Dana when she decided to catch a falling bulletin board with her face at her own son's gymnastics class.
She used the Cricut cartridge "Just Because" cards to cut out the shape of the tag.
She punched holes around the card and sewed together with twine.
She put an eyelet on the tag and put a red ribbon through it and stapled it with the Tim Holtz stapler, love those little staples!
She stamped the images, and colored them.
She stamped the saying and cut it apart.  The first part of the saying she put on the front of the tag and used Tim Holtz Fragments over the words.  The second part she stamped for the inside of the tag.

Holy Cow Birthday cow

First I want to say that I am sorry for the delay on posting.
I have had problems with an upgrade, computers just don't listen very well.
But Currie has come up with a great birthday card for you.
The brown background card is embossed with the Cuttlebug and with a Cuttlebug folder.
She cut out the white card stock for the image and used Tim Holtz distress tool on the edges.
She stamped and embossed the cow stamp then colored it.
The Holy Cow birthday stamp is one stamp. She masked it and stamped the 'HOLY COW' in black and then she stamped 'another birthday' in red.
She stippled distress ink around the edges and punched the holes for the play on words.
She added a Tim Holtz acrylic piece over the words that make them stand out.
The last thing was to punch a hole in the corner and add an square eyelet and put the ribbon through.

Happy Halloween Kids

It has been cool her in WI and starting to feel like fall, so I thought we might get ready for Halloween.
I used the layout template that I found in one of the magazines.
All of the stamps are from Crackerbox Palace. The oval is cut from Spellbinders.
Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween tag card

Wendy Buttke made this tag card with Crackerbox Palace stamps.
The black card stock is cut 4 1/4 X 11.  It is folded at 5 1/2.
Make the tag and lay it beside the black card stock and mark where you would like to cut it so the saying is above the cut line.
A strip of purple card stock is used behind the ribbon on the front.
Thanks for stopping in and looking.

Sweet Lady in Red

Lois Larson made this card. She used Crackebox Palace stamps.
On the chocolates she used brown applique.  All she did was apply the applique to the the candy and let it dry.  Usually you heat the applique to make it puff up, we found when you just let it dry, it dries very shinny.
Thanks for looking and have a sweet day.

Thinking of you with quilling flowers

This is one of our sayings I used.
The flowers are the new quilling flowers from Cuttlebug.  I liked the looks of quilling, but was never interested in doing it until now.  It is so easy and I like the 3D flowers.  With having all 3 flowers I am able to mix and match what the flower looks like.  I like using it with printed paper and some of my scraps that I have stamped on and cut out.

Ghostly

This is another card I did in Chicago when I went stamping with the Stampscapes group.
The stamps I used are Crackerbox Palace stamps and also Stampscapes rubber stamps.
The ghost and Vamp are paper shaped.

Ann is the second one on the left.

Necklace from Currie

Isn't this a nice necklace that Currie made? She used the frames from Memory Makers.
She added colores with the beads that attach the piece to the chain.
Don't worry if it does turn around when you are wearing it, she has a pretty butterfly on the other side.

Ever Need a Hand

The background paper has been put through the Cuttlebug with one of the Fades from Tim Holtz folders. I sanded the embossed area.  I stamped the hand on the card and then cut out an opening by the wrist to curl the paper back.  I then stamped the hand on a light tan card stock,(so I didn't have to color to much) and cut it out.  When I cut it out, I left some extra card stock at the end of his wrist to lay under the card.
The square behind the saying and the inverted frame are Spellbinders.  All of the stamps are Crackerbox Palace rubber stamps.

Best of the West

John and I just love this card.
Currie cut out the matting for the image with Cricut.  All of the stamps are from Crackerbox Palace and colored with Copic.  If you look close, the horse is like the kid's 'giddy up' wood horse.  This is just a great card for any guy(s) in your life, I think they would laugh.
This is the inside of the card.

Thank You with Quilling

This card is stamped with Crackerbox Palace stamp.  The background matting is from Spellbinder die cuts.  I got in the Cuttlebug Quilling flowers for the store and did not think I would open any for myself. I always liked looking at quilling but it was to flat for me to want to do it.   For a while I have been wanting to get more dimension in the flowers I make.  I kept walking by those quilling flowers by Cuttlebug and finally broke down and opened one.  As you can see, I ended up opening all 3.  I cut the card stock and cut the single strip, 2 flowers and leaves all at the same time.  The flower by the saying is just half a strip to make the flower smaller.  By doing this card and one other, I have about a dozen ideas on what to do with these, can't wait to try them!

Anniversary Monkey

Currie used Basic Gray paper and Copic markers and the embellishments are brads.
This is for the couple that has a sense of humor.  Acutally John found this saying and wanted to make it into a stamp.
If you would want to use the Happy Anniversary stamp for your spouse, you can just cut off the bottom part of the saying, we left enough room.

Picnic Basket in the spotlight

I wanted to make a card that had our theme for this month but you could use it more than just for a picnic.  I thought of Life is a Picnic as a 'just because' card.
All of the stamps are from Crackerbox Palace.  I cut out the circle with Spellbinder and the white and red card stock were punched.

King of the Grill Pig

This was done with Crackerbox Palace stamps and we only have a couple of days left with this theme.  I can't wait to show you what we have for next week.
The hotdog in the bun that is in the corner and the 3 hotdogs on the grill are cut from the 2 hotdogs that are on the stick.  This one is pretty staright forward, stamp, color, cut and glue.  The scalloped square is Spellbinders and the coloring was done with Copic Markers.

Do you like pickles with your hamburger?

I used Crackerbox Palace stamps and Copic markers to color.  The hamburger is cut out and I used a pop dot behind it.  The jar was stamped and cut out of white cs and also acetate.  When I cut the acetate out, I cut out tabs or wings on the straight sides of the jar so I could wrap the acetate around the jar cut out of card stock.
The tag and matting behind the hamburger is from Spellbinders, the green card stock is punched from Martha Stewart and the embossed background is from Tim Holtz Fades with a little brown ink rubbed over top of it.

BBQ Fun with Bull

Sorry for not getting a card up yesterday, the clock worked faster than I did.
But here is one for today, only 4 more days left for this theme and then I will have some other super great cards that Currie came up with that I can't wait to share with you.
One of the things John likes most on the grill is a steak, so we had our artist draw us one.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. It took me a few weeks to figure out how to use it, but then I found the bull.  We have sweet looking cows that I might use with it later.  I guess this is just my slightly twisted humor, I hope it will give a few chuckles.
What can I say about this other than it is pretty straight forward, stamps color with Copic markers and mounted.  I did put clear Gloss on the bulls feet and whites of his eyes. I used a deckle scissors for the edge on the tan cs and Spellbinder for the steak plate.

Great Food Great Friends

Well we have one more week of our picnic theme.
The tag is cut out from a Spellbinder.  The edge is punched from EK Success chain punch and ribbon is threaded through it.  The blue fence like punch is a Martha Stewart punch. I was showing a stamper the new Cuttlebug Quilling flowers at the store and cut off a piece so it wasn't so long and put it aside.  After the stamper left, I still had the cut off piece and curled it up and used it on this card as the white flower.
The stamps are Crackerbox Palace stamps and colored with Copic markers.

Dog-gone Special Hotdogs

Currie made another great card for anyone, but it does look like any guy would like it.  Guy cards are sometimes a challange but this one is a good one.
She stamped the images and colored them.  She added Glossy Accents used on the bun seeds.  Vintage Photo Distress ink for the aged look.  Ranger blue embossing powder for the saying.
Mustard seed colored eyelets for the eyelets and jute string really adds interest.

Woo Hoo Steak

I think the card Currie made makes a great guy card, what guy doesn't like a good steak?
She stamped the dog's head and steak on white card stock and cut it out and then glued to card.  She colored with Copic markers and used Glossy Accent on the ant to make him show up better.  On the card the ant is not this dark, I am not sure why he turned out so dark here.  She used Tim Holtz Fragments to put over the words and the edge scrapper.

Brave Thing Picnic

When I opened this one up from Currie, I had to laugh.  What a great card for a guy too!
She stamped the bear, blanket, basket, cola and saying on white cardstock, colored it and cut them out.  The chain on the edge is a EK Success punch.  Currie punched it almost to the edge and colored it with silver Smooch.  She put Glossy Accents on the ants eyes and used Tim Holtz scrapper for the edges.

Another quick card, a summer card for a 'Just Because' card. All of the stamps are Crackerbox Palace stamps.  The frame around the saying and hamburger are from Spellbinders.  I used a corner rounder for the printed paper.
Have a great summer day, and thanks for looking.

I was working the store and all I had were pieces I already cut out so I this card is pretty straight forward, stamped, colored and cut.  The saying is framed with one of our stamps and colored with Copic as well as all of the other images. The ant mounds are glues at the very bottom and the top of the mounds have small pop dots under them.   The tree is a bare tree I just dotted with the Copic markers.  I tore a scrap of cardstock and sponged Brillance ink over the edges to make the clouds.  The scalloped edge is cut from Spellbinders.

Picnic On A Table

I stamped the table on white card stock with red ink and just cut out the top of the table.  Then I stamped the table on the light brown card stock and glued the top of the table on the card.  I used EK Success punch for the edge of the table and added pearls.  Stamped the words in VersaFine Sepia ink, and sponged the edges. Stamped the food, colored it with Copic markers and cut them out, (the hotdog is cut from the stamp that has 2 hotdogs on a stick).  I punched the bottom of the light brown card stock with Martha Stewart punch.  I had the red bow laying on my desk so that went on as well as the blue and brown flower that has been on my desk for a while from something.

What We Eat

This one is for fun.  The top of the Cola can didn't come out very well, but it was stamped on the foil that a candy bar was wrapped in.  The hamburger was colored with Copic markers and the background frames were cut with Spellbinders.

Currie's Divine Cookbook

Boy, does Currie have a great cookbook to share!
I saved this for Friday, just in case you would like to try some of her ideas.
This cookbook sits on the counter at the store and everyone enjoys looking through it,
I hope you will too.
The book front and back covers are made from chipboard.
She stamped the apron and cut the tie strings off and braded floss for the stings.  Also she wrapped floss around the neck loop.  Sprayed the apron with Paper Glide and shaped it to give it some shape. Copper wine with beads and a clothespin hang the apron.  Tim Holtz Fragments were used for the "Divine" stamp, and she used StazOn ink, Smooch are the dots after the words were dry.  The front of the sign was covered with Shimmerz.  There are little pearls at the apron stings and rhinestones and pearls around the edges.  The scalloped shape was cut out from Cricut and the blue card stock was distress from Tim Holtz tool.  All of the stamps she used are Crackerbox Palace Stamps.
The dividers with tabs are cut using Cricut cartridge Just Because Cards.
Recipes were handwritten, cut from cookbooks, printed on the computer and some cut right off the box.

I sure hope you enjoyed this as much as I did.

Summer Picnic Table

Currie cut the background from the Cricut Shape-Just Because cartridge.  The picnic table was colored and cut out. The table cloth was stamped on cloth and colored with Copic markers.  The frame was stamped and then the sun was stamped in the frame as well as the word Summer and then cut out.  The flowers were stamped and shaped then put on the card.

Grill Baby Grill

Most men like to grill and doesn't this look like it would make a great guy card?
Currie used the Cricut cartridge Shape-Just Because for the white card stock.  She stamped colored and cut out the grill.  The flame came from the flame we have on our dragon, great idea! The the golden color over the words are the crayon stamp.

Microwave S'mores

Currie wrote out the recipe using the computer and printed it out.  Stamped the marshmellows and colored them with Copic markers.  Stamped the saying and cut it out then used the tag maker to finish the tag.  Punched holes at the top of the cardstock.  Put the ribbons through the holes, tied them and added buttons and safety pins.

Delicious Watermellon

Doesn't watermellon sound good after all of these hot days?
Currie made this sweet card by stamping each watermellon on separate squares and coloring them with the Copic markers.  She matted each square and distress the green square of each one of them.  She added the ribbon on the bottom.  The green thread was knotted on each button and added to the ribbon.

The half watermellon is one of the stamps you can receive free.

Rest Relax Enjoy Hanging Picture

Currie first stamped the apron on fabric, then on paper.  She cut them both out and glued together.  Floss was braded for the apron ties and ribbon for the neck.  The cat was colored and cut out, the paws were curled around the floss to look like it was hanging on.  The picnic blanket was also stamped on fabric and cut out.  Cuttlebug embossing folder gave texture to the grass and distressed the edge.  Burlap covered the chipboard for the base of the picture.

Utensil background BBQ

This is just a quick and simple card, (at a couple request from some stampers at the store.)  Stamped the utensils in the background. Cut out the the green background for the hamburger from Spellbinder. Stamp, color with Copic and cut out the hamburger.  Stamp and cut by hand the saying and mount it.

***Currie just sent me some new cards for this month and they are wonderful I can't wait to share them with you!  She really put a twist on these anniversary stamps for this month.
